BOMLO, Norway—Eidesvik Offshore says the Subsea Viking vessel operations are in full swing for the Hollandse Kust Noord (HKN) offshore wind project.
The vessel is currently engaged in trenching operations on the HKN wind farm, and it is operating as a support vessel for Van Oord’s Dig-It trencher, laying inter-array cables to connect the HKN wind turbines to the offshore power socket, Eidesvik stated on its LinkedIn.
The HKN offshore wind farm is located 18.5 km off the Dutch coast. It will eventually have a total installed capacity of 759 MW and produce at least 3.3 TWh annually. This is enough renewable power to supply more than 1 million Dutch households with green electricity.
