HAMBURG, Germany — Siemens Gamesa has signed an agreement to cooperate with Doosan Enerbility in the South Korean offshore wind sector.
The agreement covers three areas for knowledge exchange on technology.
Doosan will assemble Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind turbine nacelles at a site currently in the design phase; perform turbine assembly for Siemens Gamesa machines in staging harbors and offshore construction of projects using Siemens Gamesa machines; and undertake offshore service on selected orders involving Siemens Gamesa machines.
Doosan Enerbility has developed local projects such as South Korea’s 60-MW Southwest Offshore Wind Power Phase 1 development.
This update follows the June 2022 news in which Siemens Gamesa and Doosan Enerbility signed a memorandum of understanding concerning a cooperation in offshore wind power activities in South Korea.
