NORTH SHIELDS, UK  Pryme Group has released two systems for offshore wind installations via Caley Ocean Systems.

The Pile Fixation Tool is a monopile foundation installation support solution that is designed to address stabilization issues when placing monopile foundations in pre-drilled boreholes in complex seabed conditions.

DEME used the technology to support recent wind turbine foundation installations on the St Nazaire offshore wind farm near western France.

PileProp, designed to help fix jacket foundations over pre-installed pile pins, complies with DNV regulation ST-0126, which this advises minimized movement in all planes to 1 mm, prior to grouting.

This system is under deployment for foundation installation work on the St Brieuc offshore wind farm in northwest France for developer Ailes Marines.

Caley developed both tooling systems with engineering design specialist Houlder.

Both are said to minimize early age cycling and reduce weather and wave limitations to installation, lessening downtime caused by severe conditions, also limiting the risk of early failure of grouting and reducing initial project and through-life costs.
