EDINBURGH, UK— Japanese electricity utility TEPCO is acquiring Scottish offshore wind developer Flotation Energy.
This is TEPCO's first major venture into offshore wind markets overseas.
Flotation Energy’s founders developed the Kincardine floating wind farm in the North Sea, and the company is a partner in the UK Round 4 Morecambe Project in the East Irish Sea and the White Cross 100-MW floating wind project in the Celtic Sea.
