COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Cadeler has signed its first offshore wind vessel reservation agreement with ScottishPower Renewables, a subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group.
This covers transportation and installation of 95 wind turbines for the East Anglia Three windfarm in the UK southern North Sea. In addition, the parties have signed two preferred bidder agreements for East Anglia One North and East Anglia Two.
The 95 wind turbine generators, which will be installed in 2026, will deliver a total capacity of 1.4 GW.
Overall capacity of the three wind farm complexes will be close to 3 GW.
Cadeler will deploy one of its O-class vessels featuring a new crane and newbuild X-class vessels. Two X-class vessels are currently under construction, with the first due to be ready for operation by the second half of 2024.
