This high-definition 3D reconstruction shows a surrogate UXO target using SubSLAM X2 technology. The surrogate is used to calibrate the Sub-Bottom Imager, which can identify subsurface targets of the same size and signature as well as generate full 3D models of UXO items in situ and in real time.
Rovco will examine and identify unexploded ordnance (UXO) and perform survey work over nominated location, removing any potential objects at the site that might hinder foundation and cable installation works.
The DPII vessels Glomar Wave and VOS Star will support the campaign in two phases, deploying Rovco’s Seaeye Leopard Work ROV equipped with SubSLAM X2 technology and PanGeo Subsea’s sub-bottom imager to identify subsurface targets.
Rovco will generate 3D models of UXO items in situ and in real time during the investigations.
CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco, appointed Van Oord as the Balance of Plant contractor for Hollandse Kust Noord, which will have an installed capacity of 759 MW.
