Siemens Gamesa enters South Korea offshore wind MoU

Siemens Gamesa and Doosan Enerbility have signed a memorandum of understanding concerning a cooperation in offshore wind power activities in South Korea.

HAMBURG, Germany—Siemens Gamesa and Doosan Enerbility have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) concerning a cooperation in offshore wind power activities in South Korea.
This covers a potential collaboration in large-scale offshore wind turbines, construction of new production facilities, supply of wind turbine parts, offshore wind turbine installation and turbine maintenance.
The companies also will investigate the potential for a domestic supply chain in South Korea.
According to Siemens Gamesa, Doosan Enerbility is the country’s sole manufacturer in Korea with a track record of supplying the domestic offshore wind power sector, including Tamra Offshore Wind Power (30 MW) and Southwest Offshore Wind Power Phase 1 (60 MW).
