CORK, Ireland — Simply Blue Group is working with consultants Wind Sweden on two floating offshore wind projects in Sweden.
The 2-GW Skidbladner project is 100 km southeast of Stockholm, and the 2.75-GW Herkules scheme is 60 km southeast of the island of Gotland.
“We believe floating wind cost reductions will be steep in the next decade and, therefore, will be able to compete with other renewable energy sources in the 2030s,” said Adrian de Andres, director of market development with Simply Blue Group.
