LEIDEN, the Netherlands – EmBW has awarded Heerema Marine Contractors a foundation installation contract for the He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The scope includes transport and installation of 64 monopiles and transition pieces. Heerema will deploy the IHC IQIP double-walled noise mitigation system NMS-10,000 to reduce noise.
He Dreiht, one of Europe’s largest offshore wind projects, is 90 km (56 mi) northwest of Borkum and 110 km (68 mi) west of Heligoland. It is due to start service in 2025.
