DEN HELDER, the Netherlands – Petrofac has awarded Peterson a logistics contract for a wind farm development in the Dutch North Sea.
This involves providing support for the offshore installation phase of two 700-MW transformation platforms for TenneT’s Hollandse Kust (zuid) offshore grid. The development will connect the Vattenfall offshore wind farm area, 18 km (11.2 mi) offshore between The Hague and Zandvoort, to TenneT’s’ onshore HV grid.
Peterson’s scope covers agency, procurement, warehousing, container and tank rental, customs, chartering of support vessels, helicopter services and waste handling, all to be delivered from the Port of Den Helder.
