TOKYO – INPEX has entered an agreement with Diamond Generating Europe, a Dutch registered subsidiary of Mitsubishi, to acquire interests in two offshore wind farms in the Dutch North Sea.

The company will gain a 50% stake in the Eneco Luchterduinen wind farm and 15% in the Blauwind consortium’s Borssele III/IV wind farm.

Luchterduinen, 23 km (14.3 mi) offshore Noordwijk, has been in operation since September with an output capacity of 129 MW.  Borssele III/IV, 22 km (13.7 mi) from the coast of Westkapelle, entered service in January 2021, with an output scale of 731.5 MW.

INPEX Renewable Energy Europe, a newly established entity in the UK, facilitated the transaction.
