SHEFFIELD, UK – Venterra Group is a new company formed to support expansion of offshore wind globally.

The aim is to provide wind energy developers with engineering, construction and operations, maintenance and life extension services. It has offices in 13 locations, operations in nine countries, and 250 employees.

Founders include executive chairman Ayman Asfari, who established Petrofac International in 1991, and CEO Rob Jewkes, formerly COO of Petrofac’s Integrated Energy Services business.

Offshore construction grouting specialist FoundOcean, based in Livingston, Scotland, has just joined Venterra, as have Osbit based in northeast England, and Irish geotechnical engineering company Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions.

FoundOcean provides numerous life extension solutions for offshore facilities, including freespan correction of pipelines and cables, pipeline rehabilitation, and jacket strengthening and repair.

Osbit already works in the offshore wind sector, employing over 120 staff.
