Offshore staff
OSLO, Norway – Ørsted has selected Seaway 7 ASA as a preferred contractor to transport and install wind turbine generators for part of the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farms in the German North Sea.
The company will use its jackup installation vessel VIND1.
The contract award is subject to EU tendering procedures, and Ørsted’s final investment decision to proceed with the projects.
The projects are expected to be fully commissioned in 2024 and 2025.
According to Seaway 7 CEO Stuart Fitzgerald, this is the first award for the company’s newbuild wind turbine installation vessel.
