EDS to manage high voltage safety at French wind farm

HASLINGDEN, UK – EDS HV Group, part of James Fisher Renewables, will deliver the high voltage safety management commissioning phase at Ailes Marines – Iberdrola’s Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore northern France.
The company will manage all aspects of high voltage safety throughout construction of the wind farm, including overseeing electrical safety for all contractors visiting the site.
It is expected to help ensure a smooth transition from commissioning through to the operations and maintenance phase at Saint-Brieuc, the first large-scale wind farm to be built off the coast of Brittany in northwest France.
Commissioning work at Saint-Brieuc is expected to begin in 4Q 2021 and will ramp up throughout 2022. The 496-MW wind farm is expected to be fully operational in 2023.
