The scope includes precommissioning, commissioning planning and execution at both the onshore fabrication site and offshore. And GATE’s commissioning team will also support initial startup activities offshore.
The two companies previously cooperated on LLOG’s Delta House project.
Salamanca’s floating production system will be stationed in Block 689 of the Keathley Canyon in 6,400 ft of water, receiving the well stream from the Leon and Castile discoveries.
It will have capacity to produce 60,000 bbl/d of oil, 40 MMcf/d of gas and to handle 25,000 bbl/d of produced water.
