LUXEMBORG – Subsea 7 says that it has won what it calls a “sizeable” contract from Chevron for the development of the Ballymore project in the US Gulf of Mexico, in water depths of down to 6,550 ft.
The company defines “a sizeable contract” as being between US$50 million and US$150 million. The project covers the installation of a steel catenary riser, flowline, and control system.
Subsea 7 says that it has supported Chevron with early engineering prior to the award. The offshore scope will be executed in 2023. Project management and engineering will take place in Subsea 7’s office in Houston, Texas.
