HOUSTON — W&T Offshore has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea National Oil Corp.
The two parties will jointly consider and pursue opportunities in upstream oil and gas and other options along the energy value chain in North America.
This could include potential acquisitions related to the energy transition and the reduction of carbon emissions.
As of Dec. 31, 2021, W&T Offshore had interests in 43 fields in federal and state waters and about 606,000 acres under lease, including 419,000 acres on the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) Shelf and 187,000 acres in the deepwater GoM.
