North Sea Gannet well close to start-up following FPSO repairs
Production remains suspended at the Dana Petroleum-operated Triton FPSO in the central UK North Sea, partner Serica Energy said in an operations update.
There have been continued problems with gas export compression availability since the initial stoppage on October 26. Repairs have now been completed to the compressor and production should resume this week.
However, the potential for further interruptions will remain until present maintenance work is completed, probably in Q1 2025.
Serica expects its Gannet GE-05 well, which was connected to the FPSO on October 25 ahead of schedule, to start producing in the next few days.
The semisub COSL Innovator rig has reached TD on the next development well in the current campaign, EC1 on the Guillemot NW field (Serica 10%), and should go online early in 2025.
Serica’s forward drilling schedule includes potentially high-impact wells on its Evelyn and Belinda fields in the same area.
In the northern UK North Sea, the company is working on infill drilling plans in an attempt to discover new prospects around the Bruce production center, where no wells have been drilled since 2012.
