SANDNES, Norway — Vår Energi will supply up to 5 Bcm to Germany’s VNG Handel & Vertrieb between 2024 and 2036.
Their commercial arrangement started in the early 1990s.
Vår Energi, which claims to be Norway’s second largest exporter of natural gas, plans to continue exploring for further resources across the Norwegian Continental Shelf, pending stable framework conditions and political support over the long term.
The agreed volumes will be delivered via the Norwegian offshore trunkline system to gas terminals in Emden and Dornum, Germany, and priced at market terms.
