ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has received authorization from Norway’s PSA to use the new process module on the Tommeliten A gas condensate field in the Greater Ekofisk area.
OSLO, Norway— ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has received authorization from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to use the new process module on the Tommeliten A gas condensate field in the Greater Ekofisk area in the North Sea.
Earlier this year, the module sailed from Aker Solutions’ yard in Egersund to the offshore location.
Tommeliten A is in 75 m of water. The plan for development and operation (PDO), approved in July 2022, covered two subsea templates with slots for up to 12 production wells tied back to the Ekofisk Complex, where the new processing module is installed.
Production should begin next year. ConocoPhillips estimates resources in the range 80 MMboe to 180 MMboe, with capex investments of about NOK13 billion ($1.22 billion).
