NHV Helicopters Ltd. has awarded a contract for the Buchan well abandonment operations in the Central North Sea.

OSTEND, Belgium — NHV Helicopters will provide helicopter services to support the Buchan Field well abandonment operations in the UK central North Sea.

Well-Safe Solutions awarded the contract on behalf of client Repsol Sinopec Resources UK. NHV H175 helicopters will undertake about four flights per week from its base in Aberdeen to the semisubmersible well decommissioning WellSafe Guardian.

Last week Repsol Sinopec Resources UK awarded Archer a $165 million contract to P&A 30 wells at the Fulmar Field and two wells in the Halley Field in the UK central North Sea.
