HARTLEPOOL, UK — Petrogas E&P Netherlands has contracted JDR to provide two umbilicals for the A15 and B10 gas fields developments in quads A & B of the Dutch North Sea.
The projects are in a water depth of 115 ft and are designed to recover 103.5 Bcf of gas.
JDR will engineer, design and manufacture the umbilicals, ranging from 10-13 km long, which will supply power to two new platforms on the A/B shallow gas field.
The umbilicals will include hydraulic hoses, chemical injection hoses, electrical cables and fiber-optic cables that enable communication between the platform facilities. In addition, JDR will deliver topside umbilical termination unit pull-in heads, hang-off bodies and umbilical termination assemblies.
The company will manufacture the umbilical, topside terminations and further subsea equipment in Hartlepool, northeast England, and the hydraulic hoses and LV cables in Littleport, Cambridgeshire.
The umbilicals, fitted to 9.2-m delivery reels in Hartlepool, will be loaded onto an installation vessel for shipment offshore. JDR expects to complete the entire work scope by early July.
