ABERDEEN, UK – Ithaca Energy is progressing engineering and procurement for the Abigail field in the UK central North Sea as a tieback to the Greater Stella Area (GSA) production facilities.
The company expects to confirm a rig hire agreement shortly, with long lead items including Christmas tree, flowbase, and wellhead due to be delivered in October.
Ithaca also anticipates securing sanction for the development in 4Q, having submitted a field development plan, followed by first oil next summer.
Subsurface and engineering studies continue for other GSA satellites Austin and Courageous.
Later this month removal and recycling should take place of Ithaca’s decommissioned suction-piled, monopole unmanned platform.
