STAVANGER, Norway – Longboat Energy has executed farm-in agreements with Equinor, Spirit Energy and Idemitsu Petroleum Norge on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).
The deals are said to constitute a material drilling program, including seven exploration wells over the next 18 months and further appraisal drilling based on success.
Net mean prospective resources across the licenses, according to ERC Equipoise, are 104 MMboe with upside potential of 324 MMboe.
The prospects are gas weighted, and all are close to existing infrastructure, with low-carbon drilling and development opportunities.
Longboat has now applied for qualification as a license holder of oil and gas assets on the NCS, and aims to have approvals in place before Sept. 30.
