LONDON – Oil and Gas UK’s Assurance and Verification Task Finish Group has issued assurance guidelines concerning the prevention of hydrocarbon releases and major accident hazards on the UK continental shelf.
The association prepared the document in partnership with the UK offshore industry and Britain’s Health and Safety Executive in response to regulatory concerns over assurance and verification processes for the prevention of hydrocarbon releases.
The guidelines cover good practice for implementing effective assurance, also providing examples of recommended approaches.
