TAQA expanding well services to MENA region

DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia — TAQA has agreed to acquire Al Mansoori Petroleum Services (AMPS) and expects the transaction to close later this year, subject to approvals.

The deal will allow TAQA to expand its Well Services business from Saudi Arabia to the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, subject to obtaining all relevant approvals and satisfying other conditions to closing.

AMPS, established in Abu Dhabi in 1997, is an integrated energy services provider in the fields of well testing, slickline, coiled tubing and stimulation, inspection, directional drilling, and logging and perforating, with long-standing relations with national oil companies in the GCC region. It has more than 3,700 employees in 14 countries.

TAQA, formed in Saudi Arabia in 2003, has more than 5,500 employees. Its well services portfolio includes coiled tubing, cementing, wireline, directional drilling, downhole tools, completions, contract drilling and seismic acquisition services.
