The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has decided to unitize the Berbigão and Sururu fields in the BM-S-11A concession in the presalt Santos Basin offshore Brazil.
Petrobras operates with a 42.5% interest.
The decision follows analysis of revised development plans that Petrobras sent to the ANP in 2018.
From now on, production from Berbigão and Sururu will be reported as coming from a single field, with the special participation payment also raised, including retroactively to the production start date.
In addition, the decision extends to unification of the areas covered by the transfer of rights contract for the Entorno de Lara Block (South of Berbigão and South of Sururu; North of Berbigão and North of Sururu), all operated by Petrobras with a 100% stake.
There is no special participation charge in this case.
Petrobras said it would evaluate the adoption of appropriate measures.
