3R takes charge of Potiguar Cluster fields offshore/onshore Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Petrobras has complete the transfer of its 100% stake in 20 concessions of shallow-water and onshore producing fields known as the Potiguar Cluster to 3R Potiguar.
The transaction concluded with the receipt of a $1.1 billion payment, following adjustments. In addition, Petrobras expects to receive $235 million, to be paid in four annual instalments of $58.75 million, from March 2024.
The Potiguar Cluster, in Rio Grande do Norte State, comprises the Canto do Amaro, Alto do Rodrigues and Ubarana sub-clusters, and includes access to infrastructure for processing, refining, logistics, storage, transport and outflow of oil and natural gas.
The three shallow-water Ubarana concessions are 10 km to 22 km from the municipality of Guamaré-RN. The other concessions of the Canto do Amaro and Alto do Rodrigues subclusters are onshore.
Average production from all three sub-clusters so far this year is 16,500 bbl/d of oil and 37.3 MMcm/d of gas.
3R Potiguar is a Brazilian company focused on redevelopment of mature and producing fields, and it is controlled by 3R Petroleum Óleo e Gás .
