ADELAIDE, Australia— Santos’ Barossa gas project in the Timor Sea was recently 55% complete, the company said in its latest results statement.
Despite delays due to regulatory approvals, the company added that it would work with stakeholders to ensure their remaining concerns are addressed in the environment plans.
Objections caused development drilling to be suspended last year.
However, final investment decision approval went through for the proposed Darwin Pipeline Duplication project, and construction is progressing on the FPSO hull, topside and turret. The subsea trees have been delivered, and the gas export pipeline manufacturing and pipe coating have been completed.
