Offshore staff
SINGAPORE – DNV has completed its review of Jadestone's remediation plans and operational readiness for the Montara Venture FPSO offshore northwest Australia, and it has submitted its findings to the regulatory authority NOPSEMA.
It follows the detection of structural issues in tanks onboard the vessel after an offshore oil leak.
Jadestone expects to complete all remaining activities within the next few weeks related to hull and tank inspection, repair and maintenance, allowing for operational readiness of the FPSO.
Planned maintenance for 2023 is taking place in parallel with the tank activities, and this should allow production to restart next month.
At the nearby Stag Field, Jadestone brought onstream the Stag-50H and 51H infill wells late last year, at an overall initial rate of about 2,000 bbl/d.
The program involved drilling a combined horizontal section of close to 3,200 m. Various other infill well locations are under assessment for possible future drilling.
After current workover activity has finished, Stag’s production should rise toward 4,000 bbl/d.
