CNOOC has started production operations at the Kenli 6-1 Oilfield 10-1 North Block Development offshore China.

HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production operations at the Kenli 6-1 Oilfield 10-1 North Block Development offshore China.

The location is in the southern Bohai Sea, in a water depth of around 19 m. Main facilities include one production platform and two unmanned wellhead platforms.

CNOOC plans to drill a total of 16 producer wells and nine water injectors, delivering peak crude output of 7,100 b/d in 2023.

Among the features of the development highlighted by the company are the modularization of engineering construction, the integration of appraisal and development drilling, and sharing of old and new offshore facilities.
