LONDON – Tower Resources has contracted CIME Services Sarl of Cameroon to help prepare an environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) for drilling of multiple wells on the Thali license offshore Cameroon.
The ESIA is a process governed by the Ministry of Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development of Cameroon (MINEPDED).
CIME’s duties will comprise preparation and approval by MINEPDED of the terms of reference of the ESIA; preparation of a stakeholder consultation report; and support through public hearings and the submission of the ESIA report to the MINEPDED for approval.
Tower expects the ESIA process to be completed by next June and to start drilling later in the year.
