ONGC orders four platforms for Cluster-8 project offshore India

ONGC has awarded L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering a lump-sum EPCIC contract for the Cluster-8 marginal field development, part of the Mumbai High Asset, 210 km (130 mi) west of Mumbai.

MUMBAI, India – ONGC has awarded L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE) a lump-sum EPCIC contract for the Cluster-8 marginal field development, part of the Mumbai High Asset, 210 km (130 mi) west of Mumbai.

The deliverables comprise three wellhead platforms, one bridge-connected wellhead/riser platform, around 59 km (36.7 mi) of pipelines, three clamp-on structures and modifications to two existing platforms.

ONGC also revealed it secured four offshore contract areas under India’s Discovered Small Fields (DSF) Bid Round-II.

The permits - MB/OSDSF/CA/2018, MB/OSDSF/NMT/2018, MB/OSDSF/SB15/2018, MB/OSDSF/D33/2018 - cover 14 marginal fields in the Western Offshore region.

ONGC plans to send production from the fields to existing facilities for processing/evacuation of oil and gas.

Thirteen other companies won the remaining 18 contract areas.
