LONDON – Tower Resources has issued an update on its activities offshore South Africa.

The company is a partner in a 50:50 joint venture with New Age in the Algoa-Gamtoos license, which adjoins Total’s concession in the Outeniqua basin.

Earlier this year Total confirmed the 1-Bboe Brulpadda gas-condensate discovery in its basin, and Tower understands that the company now plans further wells in the basin between the discovery well and the joint venture’s license.

At the same time, New Age has identified from 2D seismic data a potential 364-MMboe Deep Albian structure, analogous to Brulpadda, in the Outeniqua basin Slope on the Algoa-Gamtoos license.

Offshore Namibia to the west, Tower is working to complete a joint operating agreement with state oil company Namcor and a local partner.
