Palfinger sending more cranes to Perenco West Africa platforms

Perenco has ordered 23 stiff boom cranes from Palfinger Marine for its platforms offshore West Africa to provide new onboard and offboard lifting solutions.

SALZBURG, Austria —Perenco has ordered 23 stiff boom cranes from Palfinger Marine for its platforms offshore West Africa to provide new onboard and offboard lifting solutions.
According to Palfinger, the region’s environmental conditions—heat, humidity and saltwater—impose demands on equipment by accelerating corrosion, wear of components and material fatigue.
The stiff boom cranes, used for lifting spare parts and equipment from service vessels onto platforms, have a reach of up to 30 m and a lifting capacity of up to 21 tons, with deliveries scheduled for 2024.
They will raise the total number of Palfinger cranes used by the company to almost 100.
