PARIS, France — TotalEnergies has discovered oil and gas in the Ntokon prospect in the OML 102 permit, 60 km offshore southeast Nigeria.
The Ntokon-1AX well encountered 38 m of light oil and 15 m of gas, while the subsequent Ntokon-1G1 sidetrack intersected 73 m of light oil in well-developed and good-quality tanks.
Ntokon-1G1 has since tested up to 5,000 bbl/d of 40°API oil.
The location is 20 km from the Ofon Field facilities on the same permit, and Ntokon will likely be developed through the infrastructure.

TotalEnergies EP Nigeria has a 40% operated interest, in partnership with NNPC (60%).
