OSLO, Norway—Borr Drilling has advised BW Energy that delivery of the Borr Norve jackup to the Dussafu Marin permit offshore Gabon could be deferred to the end of this year.
This is due to a third party potentially exercising remaining well options and work to change out the rig`s BOP.
The delayed arrival could push back first oil from BW Energy’s Hibiscus/Ruche development off Gabon to the end of first-quarter 2023.
Lamprell in the UAE has been converting the Hibiscus Alpha to a production platform for the project, with sailaway due to take place next month.
