Offshore staff
PARIS/TOKYO – TotalEnergies and INPEX have agreed to sell their interests in block 14, 100 km (62 mi) offshore Cabinda, northern Angola, to Sociedade Petrolifera Angolana subsidiary Somoil Block 14 B.V.
The switch remains subject to approval from the Angolan authorities.
TotalEnergies and Inpex Angola are partners in Angola Block 14 B.V., with TotalEnergies owning a 20% stake in block 14 and 10% in block 14K.
INPEX has a 9.99% interest in block 14 and 4.99% in the Lianzi field in the offshore zone distributed equally between the Republic of Angola and the Republic of the Congo.
Both blocks have been producing since 1999. TotalEnergies said its focus in the future will be on its deep-offshore production projects off Angola and Angola LNG.
