CNOOC has started up its Bozhong 19-2 oilfield development project in central Bohai Bay, eastern China.
Main production facilities include a new central processing platform and four new unmanned wellhead platforms that are in a water depth of about 20 m.
The company plans to drill 34 producer wells and 25 water injectors, with peak oil (heavy crude) production of close to 18,800 bbl/d in 2025.
One feature of the development has been the application of standardized construction methods to speed up delivery, CNOOC added.
