Aqualis completes Ichthys FPSO station keeping job

Aqualis Offshore has completed its position keeping role for the FPSO Ichthys Venturer which is now fully moored in Australian waters.

OSLO, Norway – Aqualis Offshore has completed its position keeping role for the FPSOIchthys Venturer which is now fully moored in Australian waters.
On Aug. 14, operatorINPEX announced that the Ichthys Venturer had arrived in Australian waters, 220 km (137 mi) off the north coast of Western Australia.
Aqualis has since then managed the position keeping procedure and provided position keeping masters offshore while the FPSO was secured with a 21-line mooring system.
The FPSOIchthys Venturer is 336 m (1,102 ft) long and will be permanently moored on a turret for the life of the project, about 3.5 km (2.2 mi) from the field’s central processing facility, Ichthys Explorer.
Aqualis Offshore’s Singapore office provided the position keeping services as a sub-supplier to POSH Terasea Offshore Pte Ltd., which managed the successful 5,600-km (3,479-mi) towage of theIchthys Venturer and Ichthys Explorer from South Korea to the Ichthys field.
