MILAN, Italy – Production has begun from the Blacktip gas field in the southern Bonaparte Gulf, offshore Australia, according to operator Eni.
The field will deliver gas to the Northern Territory's Power Water Corp. (PWC) for 25 years, with supply rising to 18,000 boe/d over the life of the contract. PWC provides power generation, transmission, and retail services to the Northern Territory.
Gas production from the Blacktip field is processed through an onshore gas plant near Wadeye, Australia.
