OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Statoil’s request to extend use of facilities on the Tune field until Nov. 14, 2020.
Tune is a gas/condensate field 10 km (6.2 mi) west of Oseberg in the northern Norwegian North Sea. Development employed subsea facilities tied back to the Oseberg field center.
Production started in 2002, withTune Sør later developed via a single subsea well, tied back to a well template on the main field.
Originally the risers and pipelines had an anticipated service life of 12 years.
