Lundin Petroleum has produced first oil from the Brynhild field in the Norwegian North Sea.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Lundin Petroleum has produced first oil from the Brynhild field in the Norwegian North Sea.
Development of the field, in license PL148, involved asubsea tieback to the Haewene Brim FPSO serving the Pierce field across the median line in UK waters.
Brynhild contains estimated reserves of 23.1 MMboe, and is producing above the forecast plateau rate of 12,000 b/d.Drilling is under way on the third development well, and the fourth and final development well will be completed in 2015.
Bluewater upgraded the FPSO’s topside heaters, metering and subsea control systems, as well as refurbishing the gas turbine and replacing existing risers.
Lundin expects to bring onstream three more projects over the next 12 months, lifting its production above 75,000 boe/d. Its partner in Brynhild is Talisman Energy Norge.
