Second floater goes online at Iracema North offshore Brazil

The Cidade de Itaguaí FPSO has started production on the Iracema North area of the Lula field in the Santos basin block BM-S-11.

READING, UK– The Cidade de ItaguaíFPSO has started production on the Iracema North area of the Lula field in the Santos basin block BM-S-11, operated by Petrobras. The location is in 2,200 m (7,218 ft) of water, 240 km (149 mi) offshore the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
According to partner BG Group, this the second leased FPSO deployed on theIracema development where it should double production capacity to 300,000 b/d of oil and 16 MMcm/d (565 MMcf/d) of natural gas.
It also has capacity to store 1.6 MMbbl of oil and inject 264,000 b/d of water.
