TEHRAN, Iran – President Hassan Rouhani has inaugurated the newly-onstream Phase 12 of the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf.
According to managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Co., Ali-Akbar Shabanpour,Phase 12 is currently producing 3 bcf/d (84 MMcm/d) from three main platforms and one satellite installation.
Additionally, Phase 12 is producing 120,000 b/d of gas condensate and 750 tons/d of sulfur. It will boost Iran’s annual gas output by more than 16% and its gas condensate production by more than 22%.
Iran’s Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said the country has invested $7.5 billion in Phase 12, and that inauguration ofphases 15/16 and 17/18 is expected in late spring and early summer, respectively.
