RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil— Petrobras has set a new quarterly oil and gas production record, achieving 3.98 MMboe/d during the third quarter from its fields offshore Brazil, 7.8% higher than in the second quarter.
It also established a new monthly high for its operated production in September at 4.1 MMboe/d, 6.8% more than in August.
This was down mainly due to the ramp-up of production through the FPSO Almirante Barroso at the Búzios Field and the P-71 at the Itapu Field—both in the presalt Santos Basin—and the Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi FPSOs serving the Marlim and Voador fields in the Campos Basin.
Another factor was fewer platform maintenance stoppages.
In September, Petrobras’ operated presalt output reached a new benchmark of 3.43 MMboe/d.
