LONDON — Perenco UK has started operations at the new Leman 27B gas compression station in the UK southern North Sea.
In parallel, the company has reconfigured and de-manned the Leman 27A and Inde 23A platforms to serve in normally unattended installation mode.
The project should extend the life of the Leman gas field by a decade or more through renovating, replacing or modified old and over-sized infrastructure. The new facilities are designed to be more efficient, require less maintenance and provide improved uptime.
Jonathan White, general manager Perenco UK, said, “By simplifying and rationalizing our equipment at the heart of the Leman and Inde hubs, we have reduced the level of CO2 emissions, fuel gas consumption and day-to-day running costs, leading to a more sustainable operation for the long term.”
