LONDON —Tailwind Energy’s Gannet GE-04 well has started production via theTriton FPSO in the UK central North Sea.
Earlier this month, the DSV Deep Discoverer mobilized to the Triton area to perform the subsea tie in of the well.
Results from this latest Gannet well have been above pre-drill expectations, the company said, with initial rates of more than 10,000 bbl/d of oil.
Serica CEO Mitch Flegg said, “This additional production means that the Triton hub is now producing at gross rates not seen for the last 10 years.”
Tailwind credits the Tailwind team as well as its key contractors Petrofac and TechnipFMC, along with Triton operator Dana Petroleum.
