RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has issued updates on various development programs offshore Brazil in its 2Q statement.
Last month, work started on the integrated operation of Routes 1 and 2 of the Santos basin gas flow, close to the FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis. The aim is to achieve greater flexibility with better distribution of the production units connected to the system, thereby boosting gas supply.
Also, in June, gas started flowing through the FPSO P-76 at the Búzios field in the presalt Santos basin, which should lead to improved reservoir management.
Early this month the FPSO Carioca arrived at Sépia field, and should produce first oil in August.
Production ramp-ups continues at FPSOs P-68 and P-70, with the P-70 subsequently reaching its full capacity of 161,000 b/d.
During 2Q, Petrobras’ oil and NGL production from its presalt fields was 3.4% higher than in 1Q, due to these ramp-ups and stabilization of production on the platforms that had earlier undergone scheduled stoppages, notably FPSO Cidade de Paraty and P-66 at the Tupi field.
However, oil and NGL production in the post-salt was 2.9% lower, due to higher losses from maintenance stoppages in the Campos basin and the divestment of the Frade field.
The impact from stoppages was most pronounced at the FPSO Campos dos Goytacazes (Tartaruga Verde field), P-40 (Marlim Sul field), P-25 and P-31 (Albacora field), P-48 (Barracuda and Caratinga) and P-50 (Albacora Leste field).
