PJ Valves has won contracts to supply valve packages for two FPSO projects offshore Brazil.

HERTFORD, UKPJ Valves (PJV) has won contracts to supply valve packages for two FPSO projects offshore Brazil.

The Marlim 2 FPSO in the Campos basin will have capacity to process up to 70,000 b/d of oil and 4 MMcm/d of gas.

PJV will deliver butterfly, ball, globe and check valves in carbon stainless-steel, super duplex and nickel aluminum bronze materials.

Sizes will vary, the maximum being 20 in. in diameter, with a maximum pressure class of 2500, to support the topsides processing requirements.

For Petrobras’ Mero 2 FPSO, which will produce 180,000 b/d of oil, the company will supply six consignments of valves for different process applications, including gas and water services, for installation within the 33,000-ton topsides.
